Pink Vase Sponge

Niphates digitalis

Although these are called "Pink" vase sponges, most are more blue-green-grey shades. They do like deeper water. Most of these spongers were in the 12 foot deep range. They have a delicate, almost  lacy top edge and grow in a variety of shapes.
