Sergeant Major
Abudefduf saxatilisThe Sergeant Major is part of the Damselfish family. And like other Damselfish, are very territorial. The males guard the eggs and when doing so take on a dark blue color and will charge at you if you come to close. Their normal coloring is a a blue/silver, with upper body white with yellow wash down the spine area and 5 black body bars They occupy depths of 1 to 40 feet, the younger the fish, the shallower the habitat.
